Child & Adolescent Assessment
FCMHC offers comprehensive, integrative psychological assessments for school-aged children and adolescents. Assessments typically take place over the course of 2-6 sessions and involve the administration of interviews, questionnaires, and other tests to answer a specific referral question. The assessment concludes with a written report signed by the clinician and supervisor and a feedback session in which the results of the assessment are described in plain language, along with recommendations based on our findings.
Please note that at FCMHC we do not offer comprehensive neuropsychological assessments or evaluations for specific learning disorders.
Psychological assessments can be useful for:
Establishing or clarifying a mental health diagnosis
Assessing for cognitive strengths and weaknesses
Testing for issues with attention (including ADHD)
Providing a detailed picture of psychological functioning to supplement ongoing psychotherapy or IEPs
